Olle Petersson
Now that I'm bying a new computer and will have the ability to run CM in very high resolution, why should I? For my normal desktop view I use 1024x768 on a 17" monitor. Any larger resolution and all text and icons will become very small and difficult to read. I run CM in 800x600 (as high as the setup diagnostic recommends), and think the size of objects on the map looks fairly good. With higher resolution everything will shrink, and at my near future maximim resolution it will be tiny, unless I have units at +5 for standard. Anyone like to comment on this? (I will stay with 17", but now with a faster monitor.) Cheers Olle
Guest Madmatt
Its a personal thing. I have a video card and a system than can quite capably run 1600x1200 pretty much all of the time, and I only recently made the jump to 1280x960 on my desktop and games. Any more than that and the text and fonts are two small to read on my 21 inch monitor. Everybody has a screen size that is comfortable for them, its just nice to have the hardware to stretch out once and while. I still play most games (FPS and sims) at 1024x768 though. Whiteowl
I am right between you guys with a 19" monitor, and I still use 1024X768 as well, for games. Its just plumb difficult to concentrate on the game when you are straining to see little icons and words. Alan
