Mies
Hi there, I'm am trying to run a saved game (Tiger Woods) from a saved file. When I hit the go button the game locks, giving a "ping" on each button I press. Only by pressing the spacebar CM closes and returns to my desktop. The strange thing is that this only happens with this particular scenario. Other scenarios don't give me any problems. Is this a know issue, is there any way to save my cmf file? I'm running Combat Mission on a notebook with directx8.1 installed: Win2000 256mb p3 1ghz SiS 630/730 videocard (4mb) SiS soundcard
Madmatt
That type of crash is usually indicative of a corrupt save game file. Madmatt
Mies
Hi, Is there any way to save or restore the corrupted cmf file, or is it game over for this battle? A shame because I was doing pretty well. Mies
Schrullenhaft
If the file is corrupt then there is nothing you can do. There are no file recovery utilities for CM. Unless it is a general file system corruption (most common problem being a cross-linked file) - then use CHKDSK /F from a command prompt (which will most likley require a reboot to perform) or whatever file system checking utility you have. Most likely you will have to start your battle over again.
