Greg Scurlock
Just upgraded my video card. I have my desktop settings to 1024 x 768 but when i turn on CM it switches to 800 x 600. I didn't have this problem with my old card and can't figure how to get CM to the higher resolution which I much prefer. Any advice is much apreciated.
Guest Big Time Software
Delete the "CM Prefs" file and this will tell CM to re-check your hardware the next time you run CM. Charles
Greg Scurlock
Thanks Charles but I used Windows Explorer and can't find a file by that name. Where should I look. Pardon my ignorance.
Guest Big Time Software
It's in the same directory as the rest of your CM files. By default it's called the "CMBO" directory and that's inside the "Program Files" directory. The file you want to delete is called "Combat Mission Prefs". Delete that and run CM again. Elmo
Greg If deleting the prefs file doesn't work, you might have to use a different driver. In my case (Diamond Stealth III s540 Xtreme) I had to use a slightly _older_ driver to get 1024 X 768. For some reason the latest driver caused CM to drop to 800 X 600.
