windstarz Posted October 24, 2001 Posted October 24, 2001 I posted in the wrong forum first. Anyway, my question is: Is it possible to play using a lan. if so how do you do it? dave 0 Quote
Redwolf Posted October 24, 2001 Posted October 24, 2001 Make sure you have IP connection and then do it like internet play. Or put PBEM moves on floppies 0 Quote
windstarz Posted October 24, 2001 Author Posted October 24, 2001 Thx Redwolf, I am playing via cable modem now with 2 computers side by side. But have had disconnection problems recently. Not too bad earlier on. Would usually have to reboot computer between games. But now can't get the game to go past turn 1. If I hook up a lan I then connect normally using Ip? 0 Quote
Soddball Posted October 25, 2001 Posted October 25, 2001 Make sure your IP's are on the same subnet (although they almost certainly are) and then just play it as you would normally. Do your two PC's share a hub on a cable modem or does one PC connect through the other - in which case, you would have two network cards in one machine. If you have this system, you need to use the IP of the NiC that isn't connected to the cable modem. 0 Quote
