Freak
Hi. Was playing today tcp/ip and after about 18 turns I got a type 2 error during the data transfer. My friend and I reconnected and the same thing happend. We could not get past this type 2 error to proceed with our game. He was experienceing a simple disconnect, and I was experiencing the type 2 error. I tried to host and he tried to host and the same thing happend, a type 2 error. I also experienced this last night trying a pbem. When I try to process the turn it goes inot a quit type 2 error and I cannot process the turn. This is very frustrating, but I know we can work this out with a little time and patience. If anybody knows anything about this or is experiencing this please post here and let us know. Thanks in advance. Freak. My CPU specs are: Mac G4 400 rage 128 agp 256 mb ram, 17 inch apple monitor. Thanks again.
Schrullenhaft
I'm not sure how it works, but I believe the faster machine will always perform the "turn crunching". So if your machine is faster than your opponent's, you'll always be processing the turn no matter who is "hosting". You're both definitely running v. 1.12 is that correct ? Is it possible to hook up and attempt a few turns of this game with someone who has a faster machine (so that they process the turn instead of you) ? Was your PBEM a different game or the same game ?
Freak
Schrullenhaft: Thanks for replying! We both are running 1.12 I suppose i will test a game with a faster host, hopefull i can find somebody to do this with. The pbem was a different game and different opponent. It is such a weird crash. And annoying too.
