I seem to have very good experiences when commanding these units even against heavy German armour at distances between 100m - 150m. Londoner Posted July 4, 2002 Share Posted July 4, 2002 Jack, IIRC try Men against tanks, sorry I can't remember the author. It provides a fairly in-depth look at all types of man potable AT weapons. Regarding CM, I used to think the same as you. However the large numbers of piats/zooks you get with the average Coy, (along with more ammo per unit I think) probably makes it look like the allied stuff is more effective. For what its worth, I had a sherman frontally KOed by a single 'sreck team at 208m two nights ago in a TCP game. Not a group of em, two bloody blokes who stormed up a large hill, directly at the sherm, totally unsupported and with sparse cover. Bold move, **** happens in war.
