Anyone successfully playing CM on Win2K?

I am receiving a new 1.7Ghz pc at work in the next two weeks or so. It is going to be a Win2K based machine, however.

I want to install CM on it, but don't know if it will work.

Is anyone using this successfully?

Yeah, it works great. Except that little bug with Nvidia cards that messes up the text areas. Should be very playable for you.

Thanks for the input. Could you explain the Nvidia bug? The machine is coming from Dell, so I imagine there is a pretty good chance of it being an Nvidia video card. Also, are there any driver issues that I should worry about?

You can do a search on the forum for "Nvidia" that should pull up a lot of the info that has been covered. But, to summarize, most people running Win2K and Nvidia cards using the newer drivers (above 6.50) are experiencing problems with flashing/blinking text and disappearing white areas. Right now I'm running a Geforce 3 with 12.41 (latest wholely qualified) drivers and the effects are minimal. Still, I would like to see Nvidia address this issue but I somehow doubt it.
