Der Kuenstler
I'm doing a PBEM and my opponent has several US star symbols in a patch of tall pines. By clicking on them they give diferent info - for example: AT Team? (Blank area) Machine Gun? (with picture labeled "Tall Pines") Mortar? (Blank Area) Infantry Squad (Blank Area) Infantry? (with picture labeled "Tall pines") Questions: Do the symbols with the blank area mean I destroyed those units with my HE fire or does that just work with AT guns? If it says "Infantry?" and not "Infantry squad?" does that indicate a HQ unit? Are there other "hints" in these symbols that help you know what you are facing that I may not know about? Thank you in advance...
imported_no_one
You may want to warn people about what you are uncovering here.It may ruin aspects of the game for them........but, Yes,blank=dead. It applies to everything--atleast in CMBB. As to your other question,I think it just has to do with the level of ID made, but sometimes you can read more into it.I may be wrong though.

throwdjohn
the qualification means that it MIGHT be any form of infantry, (i.e, a squad will sometimes show up simply as "infantry?" until it is further IDed. I think this might be compounded by the fact that some US platoon hq units are 10 men strong.
