I'M BACK with a NEW MEGA OPERATION!

Recommended Posts

For anyone who cares, It was during the first days of this battle that Eric Fletcher Waters, Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd fame) father was killed.

"When the Tigers broke free"

It was just before dawn

One miserable morning in black 'forty four.

When the forward commander

Was told to sit tight

When he asked that his men be withdrawn.

And the Generals gave thanks

As the other ranks held back

The enemy tanks for a while.

And the Anzio bridgehead

Was held for the price

Of a few hundred ordinary lives.

And kind old King George

Sent Mother a note

When he heard that father was gone.

It was, as I recall,

In a form of a scroll,

With gold leaf and all.

And I found it one day

In a drawer of old photographs, hidden away.

And my eyes still grow damp to remember

His Majesty signed

With his own rubber stamp.

It was dark all around.

There was frost in the ground

When the tigers broke free.

And no one survived

From the Royal Fusiliers Company C.

They were all left behind,

Most of them dead,

The rest of them dying.

And that's how the High Command

Took my daddy from me.

I doubt there were Pz VI's in the vicinity, but it makes for a great song title.

I love that song, too. The events depicted therein happened a few clicks to the west.

Mr. Franko:

At The Scenario Depot, your operation is listed under CMBO. I would imagine that you might want to clarify this, being that it is a CMAK Operation and all.

My download went OK; I'm on a Mac. I don't remember if I had to "Option-Click" to download it or not. But it works in CMAK! And quite the impressive bit of work it is, too . . .

Hello,

I am looking for someone to play the Allied side in this operation (Rush of Jousts)...

Preferably, someone who is quite experienced as well as able and willing do at least 2-3 turns per day (excluding set up turns)...

Opponent also needs to be a good loser... :D:rolleyes:

Thanks,

Al

Oh, there is a thread on this operation?

Well, in that case, let me tell you Franko, that this is the operation that single handidly restored my faith in CM operations played against the AI. Sure the AI makes stupid advances towards captured flags during the battles, but not all of them do... and each battle starts with a sort of resonable setup by the AI, well, at least on I can play against and have a bit of a challenge, battle after battle. And that's something I have not seen in other operations. I suppose it has to do with using the static operation rule with a lot of VP flags... Anyway, it works.

Thanks for putting in the effort!
