MAsta_KFC
I noticed that in the CMAK demo, the portraits for the US troops look reminiscent of the CMBO portraits, just added shadows. However, the axis troops have that 'shoulder and rank' view, where half the face is obscured, but you can see his 'credentials. My question is, in the full version, will we expect this difference? To be honest, I preferred the CMBB style portraits, they looked more 'professional'.
flamingknives
I've noticed that you can identify enemy command units (esp. tanks) by the portrait.
Moon
This is speculation only on my part, but I believe this is possible only in the demo, as I remember that Charles mentioned that he has removed some misidentification code to reduce size and amount of BMPs in the demo. I much prefer the shoulder view.
Le Tondu
The portraits are great, IMO. Being able to identify tank commanders by the photo isn't, but that will be different when the game is released. No problem. I like them because they help me to remember that this is only a game. I agree too. The portraits are a step back from the cmbb graphics. But if it is maintained on the full version, it can be modded still.
Pud
Whilst I dont like those particular portraits, I prefer to see them as I recall with CMBO they helped identify the unit. The CMBB portrait to me was of no use other than looking great.
PeterX
Personally, I like both portraits. Problem is, they're mismatched styles, like mixing beer and Imperial Tokay. BFC, please make your mind(s).

kgsan
One more vote here for the shoulder view for all the units (or else Mr. Dorosh's squad leader mod )
tooz
I'll wait for the CD (still too infatuated with CMBB) but I too, want Mike's ASL portraits. These are the best--easily my top favorite mod. Looking forward to seeing them in CMAK!

Compassion
ANyone notice that the flag behind the US portraits is a 50 star flag rather than a 48? Did I pick the smallest nit? Is there a prize for geek of the week?
HeinzBaby
"..smallest nit"...try this...what about the US tank tread ribs 'facing' the 'wrong?' direction when viewed from the front. Shouldn't the rib face '\_/' rather than '/-\'. I rotated the bmp 180, cut n' pasted the old style 'block' from CMBO into the steel skeleton track which is used in BB, and AK...looks great now... BTW.. this demo rocks guys!!,love the sounds, especially the empty M1 clips to name a few

V
I don't like the American unit pics in CMAK at all. Please change them.
MAsta_KFC
So do the Allies use the old CMBO pics?
r0tten
Yes, the American unit portraits are used, not half shoulder view like the rest, think that it is the old cmbo style. I have the cdv version.

The British/commonwealth use the new style shoulder view too.
