M1A1TC
Here is a mod Ive been working on for awhile.BTW, the sides are not finished yet. I am still working on the Iraqi Insurgents. Up close. I tried following Juju's advice, but can not find a way to get rid of those lines above the rifle. Group shot. Stryker platoon in a 360 hasty defense Thanks to the Battlefront team for a great moddable game. Keep up the great work. I hope to see this in Combat Mission 2 [ July 09, 2005, 06:00 PM: Message edited by: M1A1TankCommander ]
Lucho
Splendid! Have you tried to raise the rilfe in its bitmap a little bit? The hight of the horizontal line normally coincides/agrees with the weapons barrel.
M1A1TC
Thanks. Ill try that, see what happens. Does any one else like it? Any comments?
junk2drive
Looks good so far. You didn't do the sides yet. Helmets came out well, they are such a PITA. I don't like the bright green pouches but if that is the way they are so be it.
M1A1TC
I can use different style grenade pouches, more subdued. All the textures you see are taken from real photos. And I did mention in my first post, that the sides are not finished yet. I am planning on using the Italians as the Iraqi Insurgents. I think that will be the best option
Battlefront.com
Nice mod The only thing you can try for the weapon is to delete the weapon's top texture. It will affect the 3Dness of the weapon to some degree, but it will be better than the way it looks now. To get rid of that squished look you can scale the L/R aspect of the gun texture itself and then add more pink in front of the business end of the gun barrel to keep the texture the correct size. What is happening now is the M4 texture is being stretched to the length of something much longer. By putting in pink in there you don't get it stretched. You can figure out how much pink to add by either trial and error or comparing the real world length of a M4 w/ stock extended to whatever weapon it is being swapped in for (ex. Kar98k). If the M4 is 20% shorter, then 20% of the texture needs to be solid pink. Er... hopefully that is clear! BTW, JuJu is a great guy to ask about this stuff. If you don't believe me, check out the credits in the manuals sometime Steve
