Say Jim, who is having the computer problems? I am having 2 slow ones myself in our group. I guess I need to shake the tree and see what falls out.

Jeff W is the one with the computer problems and Nils tends to take a while with returning files, I assume because of numbers of units etc.

Regards

Jim R.

ROW V - Dinner Dance - Diversified ‘Theme Selections’ update!

In search of a truly Authentic WWII Adventure and ‘ambiance’ (French word… I think?) enhanced proposals.

One gallant gladiator suggested Baked Beans & Beer Pot-Luck, with French condiments of course.

http://members.cox.net/dawgbonz3/ROWV/Condiment01.jpg

Another proposal, amphetamine supplements should be served … as an appetizer .. hors d'oeuvre …another French word… I think? Would be a special tribute to the historic Maleme Axis parachutist packets.

Public Speaker: I like Ike but he served the country well and has moved on.

http://members.cox.net/dawgbonz3/ROWV/ROWVGuestSpeaker.jpeg

I am working hard on a public speaker to give that esprit de corpse …another French word… I think?

We have until June sumpin so… keep doz dispatches coming. BTW: Ballet is a French word too… I think?

Dawg… looking for some 78 RPM - Big Band MP3s….

"An empty Espresso machine is a terrible thing to waste."

PS: IMO, Scenario designers should consider "amphetamine supplements" as part of ALL the scenarios! Should get the AAR’s back to you quicker.

I must pass on my apologies to the gents in Group 5 with games outstanding.

I have sent a note to Kingfish stating that I will have to withdraw from the tournament. Unforuntately my PC is being extremely irksome and nothing but a fresh install will resolve it.

I would like to apologise to the guys in Group 5 whom I am playing.

You have been a great bunch and I have thoroughly enjoyed each match.

Thank you for the patience you have shown over the last couple of weeks.

Take care guys , and best of luck for the rest of the tournament.

Attention David Griggs.

I have now sent turn 70 to you 3 times. I even sent you a message without an attachment. I seem to get your mails OK, but mine arent apparrently reaching you. I have no idea why as everything was OK up until a few days ago and nothing has changed at my end.

GSX - I emailed you back. I have been having problems receiving text files for some reason, especially from you. I think my ISP (MSN) is being quicker to screen them out perhaps.... not sure. With others that I have had this problem, zipping the file has cured it. However, I am going to switch my gaming email to gmail to hopefully do away with this problem.

Thanks

Kingfish,

Am now more or less established here, and concerning your proposal, I feel that I can be of greatest assistance on either the front end or the back end of the filtering process. I can: a) vote up or down; B) do a first order simple ranking (say, 1-3), or c) take the top candidates in the final stages and do a detailed ranking then. Your call. My new E-mail address is in my updated profile. When you reply privately, please include your phone number. That particular info was misplaced during the move. Also, if we're talking about my going through the whole stack, then I'll probably need a dedicated E-mail account from some kind soul (was offered one during ROW IV), since I suspect it would overwhelm Yahoo.

Regards,

John Kettler
