Ace Pilot
Correct me if I’m wrong, but my understanding of the armor penetration model is that there is a randomness variable somewhere in the equation so that the same shot doesn’t always perform the same. My question is how this randomness enters into the armor penetration tables shown in the game. If a table says a gun can penetrate 50mm at 30º at a range of 1,000 meters, does that mean that it has a 100 percent chance of doing so? Or does it mean that it has a reasonable chance (maybe 70 percent or even higher) of penetrating, but not assured?
