M1A1TC
Anyone wanna guess what these are? What country and time period/conflict? [ July 14, 2005, 10:08 AM: Message edited by: M1A1TankCommander ]
flamingknives
The top one looks like it's based on an agricultural tractor. The lower could well be a 6x4 truck like a deuce-and-a-half with a tin box on top.

M1A1TC
Yep, they are from Bosnia. How about this one?
Ace Pilot
After staring at that top picture, I've concluded that either I started drinking earlier than normal, or that tank has got to be from the 60s. It's groovy, man!
Gpig
That bottom one looks like a leopard I(?) Just like the Canadian Armed Forces had for a while. (Also, that rear grill is a dead giveaway.) Gpig
Sergei
Are those from Mad Max?
Earl Grey
The tank is most likely a Canadian Leopard C1/C2 based on the German Leopard 1A5... the vehicles look like made from scratch ad-hoc units. If you don´t have nothing, you´ll make do with what you have. But they look interesting enough.
Jaska.
They also look like you could KO them by giving them the evil eye !
Sergei
The evil eye would be hypnotised by that psychedelic coloring before being able to do any harm...
M1A1TC
Please post your own pics of wierd/interesting armored vehicles. BTW, that was Leopard 1 A5
Michael Dorosh
Can't be a Canadian tank, the crew commander is in a helmet rather than a black beret. Regimental standing orders for the LdSH and RCD state that the sexy black hat will be worn in all weather, even if it is 88 degrees below freezing. Even if you are standing inside a friggin tank, you must let the rest of the world know you are Armoured via the black hat.
Earl Grey
But it´s no German tank either, because our armored troops don´t use a helmet like the one seen on the photos - if I´m correct. Might be they changed the odd-loking leather helmet in the German Army recently... else German tankers would wear a black beret, too.
SpitfireXI
Why do Canadian and other CW nations give their tankers soft berets for wearing inside a tank? Why not a hard helemet?

zmoney
Plus you can tell he’s not Canadian because he’s holding binoculars not a beer.

tar
I was wondering if the lower of the first set of photos is an air-mobile armored vehicle. It kind of looks like it has some very thin helicopter blades. Either that, or it operates in a region with very poor television reception.
tar
OK, this one is only a model, but perhaps someone can identify it anyway?
Kanonier Reichmann
Yep, it's a small white message box saying that no direct linkage is allowed. Do I get a prize? Regards Jim R.
Earl Grey
That´s the fun of it - you´re supposed to IDENTIFY WITHOUT ACTUALLY KNOWING what it is... And, honestly, what kind of a man will you be if you´re right? Your name will be sung in all the tales yet to come and your golory will shine like the stars...
