Hans
Namenlos, Ohne Namen or Gedankenlos? Which would be proper in calling a kampfgruppe "nameless" or "unnamed", due to hasty organization? TIA Hans
peter tilbury
Ad-hoc?
Schoerner
zusammengewürfelt? - if you don't have a 'ü', just use 'ue' -> 'zusammengewuerfelt'. But don't forget, 'Einheit' (unit) is female -> zusammengewuerfelte.

peter tilbury
wouldn't zusammengewürfelt be more like a thrown together unit; nameless is not negative enough and does not suggest haste
pakfan
You might as well use "Unbenannt" (unnamed, not named) or "Unbenannte Einheit" (unnamed unit).
Andreas
It would be helpful to have a full sentence. You could say 'eine (bunt) zusammengewuerfelte Kampfgruppe' in a narrative (e.g. 'doch der Angriff wurde von einer bunt zusammengewuerfelten Kampfgruppe der 3. Armee abgewehrt'), but an official reference would always be by name of commander, or designation of the staff on which the Kampfgruppe is based (e.g. KG Schneider or KG II./IR347).
Hans
The context (which I should have provided earlier) A Russian Guards Tank Corps from the 5th Shock Army launches an attack along the Kustrin-Berlin Highway. In their path, a hastily-assembled kampfgruppe of no name or number prepares to make a final stand.
AntEater
Such a scratch force would be called "Alarmeinheit" (alert unit)
