Mod help needed : strange black texture...

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm actually making a Kingtiger mod, representing a vehicule of May 1945, with bicolor camouflage and circle pattern.

Due to the difficulty to correctly adjust camo stripes between the different files, I decided to make the schürzen invisibles. I then deleted the concerned textures by applying pink surfaces on it.

The result is not so bad : the lower hull need to be more "dirty" but the general aspect is satisfying. But, when I rotate the view all around the panzer, a strange thing appears. When you look at the hull front, it seems that a black texture still exist...

Ok, here is a view from the editor and, in the red circle, the problem...

Can someone explain to me how to correct this ? Or I will have to re-put the schürzen on...

Best regards.

you cant correct it... if you look at the hull in the same part as that black texture youll see its transparent... the upper hull model extends down below the upper hull texture... so you get this... there is no workaround... except maby making part of the lower hull texture invisible, but that would leave a large part of the lower hull invisible... not good i guess...

Yes, I think it is the only solution... Looking at the picture, it seems that the black part belongs to the lower hull, just above the road wheels. Then, the only solution is to make this part invisible. But it may be seen with a point of view on the ground...

Ok then ! I have opened my New Vanguard book and the panzer has its schürzen on ! I think it is the best way
