ttpdl
I've had a brief search of the forums but I can't find what I' after so I thought I'd ask. I'm new to CM, and I have CMBB which I understand is better in terms of commands, etc. than CMBO (I'm not trying to offend CMBO players BTW!). In addition, I can't get hold of CMBO for a number of reasons, so my question is, is an american/british units mod available for use with the CMBB game, or is this a no-no?!!! Any advice would be much appreciated. Pete
Cmdr DeadMeat
I think not. CMBB is an eastern front game and CMBO is western front. No idea in repeating things.
Monty's Double
The mods are just graphic "skins" rememeber. The unit data is hardcoded so you can't change it. How come you are having trouble getting hold of CMBO?
athkatla
CMBO is available in 'Game' stores for the price of £12.99!
I am Evil Homer
I was wondering something similar, like, for example, if they would eventually sell out an updated version of CMBO with all the improvements from CMBB for those who prefer West Front but not at the expense of reality and overall gameplay.
Schrullenhaft
..if they would eventually sell out an updated version of CMBO with all the improvements from CMBB... Nope, won't happen. The current project is the next game engine CM II. I'm guessing that the next game, CM3 (CMDD: D-Day Dodgers ?), will be based on it. CMBO won't be re-released with the CMBB improvements. It's too much work to revamp the same material (and it wouldn't be as easy as just swapping the units around, there's much more work than that). Plans in the past (which are subject to change) have mentioned that newer engines will eventually again cover the CMBO and CMBB time frames in the future (at least 4+ years from now).
