Hi, Jason

youre really an expert regarding tatics, especially Soviet. Do you recommend to buy the Nafziger books, the ones you can buy here at BF?

I want to learn more about Allied tactics and Iam looking for some sources.

Cheers

The two volumes in question (Charles C Sharp's "Soviet Armor Tactics in WWII" and "Soviet Infantry Tactics in WW2") are largely translations of the relevant Red Army combat regulations of Feb 44 and Nov 42 respectively. I therefore doubt that the "riddled with errors" allegation applies in this case, although I haven't seen either of the original documents in Russian.

Of course, the question always arises of how much the official manuals reflect what was actually done in the field.

All the best,

John.
