britfish
I did, but the guys at work frown on people scanning N**i regalia during work hours Its strange its your run of the mill breast eagle but with a five pointed (almost US) star where the Swastika should be? Got me baffled.

Mikko H.
Try posting your question here: Feldgrau forum Section 'Uniforms and awards' should be the one. [ January 10, 2003, 06:36 AM: Message edited by: Mikko H. ]
Erwin Rommel
Hey bud...Got something that may help narrow the search... I was watching the movie Murphy's War and saw it on a German submarine captains uniform.
SgtMuhammed
A definite possibility considering the Navy was the most resistant to the influence of Naziism.

britfish
A clue perhaps!!!!. "It should be noted here that members of the Russian contingents were not supposed to wear the German eagle-and-swastika breast eagle (the Hoheitsabzeichen), as this was considered a German national honor (though the French, Belgian and Croat volunteers appear to have worn it as well). Instead, an alternative breast badge was to have been worn, featuring a diamond enclosing a swastika and supported by two stylized wings, in grey on a field grey backing. In practice, this badge was seldom seen, and either the German eagle, or no breast badge at all, was the norm."
