MikeyD
Did someone mention muted grass & terrain? - Muted Green summer grass for CMBB and CMAK. - Muted Brown winter grass for CMBB only. - Muted summer/dry ground winter terrain bases. for CMBB and CMAK (mostly) At the CMBB side of our favorite site: www.cmmods.com Okay, so there’s already a million grass mods out there. But this one’s different! ...well, maybe it isn’t. But it looks good and this one just might be to YOUR tastes! The CMBB dry ground winter textures in particular make a big difference in the game’s look. I also did terrain bases to go with the grass. The forest floor looks very leafy and the swamp looks very goopy. Check ‘em out. Vergeltungswaffe
You are so full of surprises. Definitely to MY taste.

MikeyD
To which I reply "Whew!" I had visions of reading postings like "Better just stick to modding vehicles, dude."
MeatEtr
Your terrain is looking great. I'd say when it comes to modding CM, you can do pretty much anything you want to do and do it very well. I'm gonna go download it and give it a try. Thanks. Btw, MikeyD, in this thread, several threads down, somebody is asking about your ATG mods you did way back in ,03. I was also curious about them too. Here's what he said: Originally posted by _UXcva: MikeyD -- if you're listening, do you still have 88mm Pak43 you modded for 'BB back in '03? forum reference It must have been lost in great CMMODS crash awhile back because its not listed anymore.
MikeyD
Dang guys, you've discovered an old mod that I forgot alll about! I recall that 88 Pak43 mod was a troublemaker. I think the skins are numbered/applied differently between the CMBB and CMAK guns. If I can locate the CMBB mod (my own machine crashed & burned less than a year ago) I'll repost it.
MikeyD
Forgive me for resurrecting this old post but I was wondering, are there any comments by user of my mottled grass mod in-game after a couple weeks of use? Its still a bit of a surprise when I open CMBB and don't see a billiard-table smooth expanse of grass on screen. Is the difference between woods and scattered trees too subtle? Speaking as the guy who made the mod, I like the new 'irregular' look of the terrain but I've found myself needing to be a bit more careful moving units because the visual differences between woods & scattered trees, soft ground & brush are less in-your-face apparent.
Vergeltungswaffe
I am still very happy with it. The "irregular: look is what makes it great. No billiard-table, indeed. I have a 19" monitor, play in 1280x1024 and have no trouble distinguishing in terrain types, without using the los tool, etc. I don't think its too subtle, but that's my .02.
George MC
I've been using it now as well - like the realistic "irregular" look. I have a 19" TFT screen and also play at 1280 x 1024. I especially like the brown winter grass. Great job! Cheers fur noo George edit for typos..
