T-34 Rarity/Dec. '42

Recommended Posts

They aren't model years at all. They are just tracked that way. The former is the C model, the latter the D. It incorporated a number of changes - hexagonal turret, slightly wider tracks, yada yada. The change over from one to the other did not occur at midnight on December 31st after a big ball fell in Times Square and a lot of silly people blew horns. By the end of 1942, the D models are already the dominant element of the existing fleet.

Remind me to cross you off my list of "potential fun New Year's Dates".

Thanks Jason C.

I confused myself by thinking in terms of model years.
