Will there be a Combat Mission game based on the Pacific War of WWII?

Seen as you would have Allies modeled from the previous games.

As of now Battlefront has only announced that it's next game after Combat Mission: Shock Force will be WWII Europe somewhere on the Western Front. Whether that's Normandy or Bulge or where ever we don't know yet. After that it's anyones guess. Some will tell you that Battlefront has said they have no interest in the Pacific but what they actually said is they would not do a Combat Mission X1 game in the Pacific. So there's still hope for CMX2.

There are mods available over at CMMODS for the pacific and even a few scenarios. Search the forums as this topic has been raised before.

A number of Pacific based operations and battles are over at the Scenario Depot II. Go to CMAK and search for "PTO" (Pacific Threater of Operations) that will give you most of the Pacific scenarios-plus try putting in the name of Junk2Drive who has designed some too I believe.
