jon_j_rambo
I've got the pleasure of playing the Axis...it is going to be ugly for Fritz, Hans, & Wolfgang
Kuniworth
january 13, 1945 allies capture Essen. In Italy there are a deadlock. THe great russian offensive is stalled due to german reinforcements sent(no ardennes offensive from axis). However Warsaw captured and axis annihilated at some locations. jon_j_rambo
Hard to explain this one in an AAR, first look, here goes. December '44 --- 1) Battle of the Bulge is not an option. 2) Germans form thin line on the Rhine. I screwed up & didn't put what MMPs I have into Northern Germany. 3) Last Italy units are safe, but it was stupid not to Operand into the Fatherland. 4) Sold all the air for MMPs
Kuniworth
march 1945, Red army is finally moving as germans fall back. In Italy axis is cut off, the allies are over the Rhine. 20th german mountain corps still trapped in norway due to strong allied fleeet.
jon_j_rambo
- German counter by the SS-panzer (5-star) kills the Canadian Army, these are some real good little buntas fighting for the Fatherland. Up around Northern German city, dah, don't know all the cities! - Operanded all the German units in Italy, was VERY stupid, should have done it turn #1. - The Polish front is gone, all Nazi Youth & old men off to Berlin! Kuniworth
april 1945, strong axis defence around Berlin and Prague. Italy is allied, landings in Norway and on german baltic sea coast. The red army clear the kurland pocket(16th & 18th german armies) and capture Konigsburg.
jon_j_rambo
The end is near. The Facist Nazis have some experience killers, but the MMPs are gone. I've got a Panzer in Berlin. The other Panzer SS is in Northern German city, doomed. We kill some Red Army weak units who are throw into the melee. Hitler is dead, Munich is no more, Eagle's Nest is in the hands of Easy Company. Allied bombers are conduct at will daylight missions, Dresden is a toast, whatever they want.
Kuniworth
may 1945, Rambo holds still. But allied air is mean and russia buys a ton of them. Our casualtys are heavy but at least the russians can afford them. Now we are at the gates of Berlin!
Kuniworth
june 2nd, Germany surrenders. Allied air is to strong and hammers the axis into the ground. Norway never fell. Think I will alter two things. Combine more soviet field armies into single units and make allied air less powerful. CASUALTIES; Axis 15 land units Allies 33 land units
jon_j_rambo
Ballgame, the 3rd Reich is no more. The Devils & Demons are dead. The Russians are building the wall. This was rather fun, short & sweet. Good job Kuni! Kind of like the history channel. If I had to do it over, I would have just packed everybody around Berlin, rather than trying the lines. AND get those units out of Italy immediately!
Kuniworth
Well I think it's kind of vital that you get the russians moving. If they are stalled(as you manage to do first turn) axis can survive the western allies petty good. Those allied army corps are no match for ss panzer corps. jon_j_rambo
Yes, that SS-Panzer was one bad-ass. Speaking of tanks, where is Patton's tanks? Didn't they make it to Czechsolvockia against Ike's orders? Despite my bad move not Operanding Italian units, I think you could have done things differently. My stupid ICQ isn't working by the way.
