jonp
All, Is it just me or are others concerned about the PBEM and replaying a turn until you get a desired result? I just started 2 PBEM games and now realize that one can keep playing turns over and over again until you get a desired result and/or find out the placements of your opponents units. I am not sure if there is a way to solve this. Your thoughts? JonP
Jeff Heidman
I don't think there is any solution in an IGO-UGO system. Which is why I will never play in a SC tournament. Just play with people you trust. Jeff
von Murrin
There is a solution. You make sure the seed values used for the combat resolution are saved with the turn. That way, replaying the same turn will produce very similar results. Uncommon Valor uses this for that very reason, and I can tell you that I initially had a lot of trouble testing concepts and such because the turns would play out so similar that it was uncanny.
