PRE:

Scenario : UK defends Egypt version 0.8

Bidding : none.

Zappsweden (Axis).

Terif (Allies).

"1939 UK defend Egypt version 0.8"

This scenario is pretty much like the 1939 Fall Weiss scenario. The difference is that Allies have more power in Egypt so defence of mediterranean is not hopeless for the Allies. Furthermore, Poland is slightly stronger and UK+France have worse starting positions for their air units. This means LC gambit is hard for Allies to perform i.e Germany can commit in Poland a bit longer.

Scenario made by Zappsweden.

Turn 2:

The Axis subs in this scenario are on L2 instead of L1 so they are +1 tech. Poland choses an agressive stance. Axis took Copenhagen and Warsaw on turn 2 and both countries surrendered.

This is unbelievable: Zapp's corps do 3-damage, take none? Both his subs dive their way out of trouble, & kill French-Battleship. His Armies do 4-damage on an entrenched French Army. Russian readiness is only 34%? Tanks do another 4-damage, take none theirselves.

This is not good, need a plan.

November 1939:

Axis take their first French grund hex by force (Manstein appears). Axis subs still alive but have taken some damage (early encounter already on turn 2 in the mid-north area). One french cruiser sunk.

January 1940:

Axis Navy kills the lone UK Battleship outside Belgium. Axis breaks the French line in two places, the forest and along the French coast. Axis units moving through along the French Coast. Axis Atlantic subs very weak now.

Mars, 1940:

2 french armies, 1 canadian army, All UK air (3 units in southern france) and UK mediterranean carrier attacked Rome (entrenchment 4, why the hell does not Rome start at entrenchment 6?) and another corps took Rome. Unstoppable?

I have to analyze that situation after the game.

May 26, 1940:

France surrenders. Axis forces still in northern Italy. Allies have been very passive after Italy fell. They could have used their Italy plunder and loads MPP income to exchange air casualties with Germany. Now with France gone, at leist Axis has equal MPP than Allies. Nevertheless, Allies have a very big advantage.

Summer 1940 --- Actually, the UK-air was busy taking Ireland. Then I attack German air in LC. Ground forces in Northern Italy in some fierce fighting. I lost UK-army, this is new terrain to battle in, supply is tricky.

Mars 1941:

Sweden is now Axis. Air attacks from Allies in greece on Axis air in Italy. Sicily was recaptured some time ago (and is under Italian control). Allied landings near Denmark and Brest. The Denmark one was unlucky. Wiped out by lots of Axis air units.
