Since installing the new patch I just got around to playing a game, As Axis on tough setting with FOW and I was surprised ! I was stalled heading towards Moscow and assumed I would get hit with an Allied landing in France. Boy was I surprised ! I got hit with Americans landing in France and the next turn I see British transports off Norway which was under Axis control, But the real surprise was the USSR transports which hit Axis owned Sweden at the same time !!!!!! Then the air pounding the Allies were giving the Axis controlled cities and ports was brutal. I have never put research into Anti aircraft gunnery but I think I will have to now if I live through these new surprises. Thank you Sir. :]

I was playing the France scenario as the Allies with standard settings and FOW. Using the versions prior to 1.03 France held for over a year just adding replacements. However, with version 1.03 Germany really started attacking smashing the Maginot line and taking France in about 4 turns.

Prior to 1.03 I figured I could hold out the French line just staying in place and using replacements. This AI aggressiveness is sure an improvement over earlier versions.

On the flip side France attacked the Low Countries

in March 1940 and >pre-empted< my own DoW on same.

In other words I wasn't embarking on a Russian

adventure {tho I did have to recall my Norwegian

invasion force...}. Those extra MPPs from the

plunder really helped to thwart my offensive.
