When playing the demo, I notice some text boxes come up blank. The nationality flag is there, but I can't see any words. Michael Dorosh Posted May 24, 2002 Author Share Posted May 24, 2002 I tried to take screen shots, but they won't turn out with the text boxes in play. It looks like the ones announcing political events are the ones not turning out correctly - ie when Italy declares war on France, the grey box with the Italian flag shows up, but no text is in it. When France surrenders, a box shows up with no text in it at the same time all their remaining hex tiles turn German grey, so I am reasonably sure these are the kinds of messages that are not displaying properly. It seems to happen, on my system, when a country surrenders or a country joins the war effort, their flag is shown in the pop-up but no text appears. At first I thought it was FOW thing. HubertYes, I have seen the air combat messages, and the money collection messages. That what makes it so very odd! It is indeed just the war declaration and surrender messages as far as I can tell. I tried Win95 and Win98 compatibility mode - no luck. I see MPP collection and air combat text - that seems to be all.
