Canuck Posted January 14, 2003 Share Posted January 14, 2003 Hi there! Quick post hoping that someone can solve my problem before I leave work. I just got the game today-great. I loaded it up (fastest install of all time) and then I installed the 1.06 patch. Everything worked great, THEN I proceeded to install a bunch of mods, mostly campaigns but also JB's Unit Sprites and... hhf_guimod_v11 Then I tried to restart SC and I got this message "Unspecified errors, could not launch Strategic Command. Program terminated" Does anyone know if either of those mods are incompatible with 1.06? I thought I saw something about that in this forum which is why I suspect one of them but I did a search and I couldnt find anything. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

wlweir Posted January 15, 2003 Share Posted January 15, 2003 I had to... 1. Reinstall SC V1.0 2. Install GUI mod. 3. Install V 1.06 4. Install sprite mods. In that order. If I upgraded from 1 to 1.6 first then the gui mod I got the same error as you. The key is the sequence of installation. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SeaWolf_48 Posted January 15, 2003 Share Posted January 15, 2003 If you have any files in the wrong directory it screws with the game for some reason. Make sure that all the files in the BMP, Campaign, SAVE directories are all the same kind of files. This has hurt my starting in the past, hope this helps.
