GriffinCheng+
From the previous track record, no. Personally, I hope they are not planning to go cause: 1. Setting up a E3 showcase is very expensive. It does not worth the money just to show off CM:BO and CM:B2B. 2. Going there means stopping their work at hand which translates into later deployment of CM:B2B. Unless you want this to happen but I guess most people here don't want to. Hope it helps. Griffin. P.S. You grand FAQ is mirrored at my site. FYI. Spook
I don't think BTS should bother. The grand majority of participants will be LCD's (lowest common denominators) who'd complain, "Gee, why isn't CM true realtime? Why isn't it FPS?" (I don't mean to lump you in with the LCD's, PeterNZ. I'll allow that you'll add counterbalance, but you'll be vastly outnumbered.)
Pvt. Ryan
Why would one attend this show unless they could get in for free? According to the website admission is $200 unless you can prove you work for the "Interactive Entertainment Industry." And why would one travel from the UK to attend? Peter, E3 does not feature sex with monkeys. But the weather should be nice. http://www.weather.com/weather/local/90015

jshandorf
There are two words the describe why I would go again... BOOTH BABES You have to see these women to believe it. Being in the mere presence of these mortal beauties brings many a man to his knees. That and the parties. The parties are really awesome. Mostly because the booth babes are now drinking which mathematically increases any man's chances. Even PNzer's. Jeff

Pvt. I'm an avid wargamer from way back, and yet I am completely hooked on Counter Strike. It's an amazing experience as a tactical shooter. E3 would be fun, and I'm in LA too, but $200? Not for me. (No, I wasn't there.) I choose not to disclose who, so as to protect the guilty, but I do recall in sincerity that he HATED the session. As to the FPS/RTS snipe, I was only using that as an illustrative example. I've played both these genres too, and I've enjoyed examples from each and from others like RPG. (BG2 is the most recent; a fine game to me.) But you were around this forum since its early days, you'd had seen some posters come & go through here to rag on CM as being "unrealistic" because it wasn't full-up RT. For my personal outlook, I don't see quite the need for a conference on electronic game trends. I get my knowledge of trends and prospective purchases sufficiently from 'net previews/reviews and demos. As for the BTS guys, I think they have already made the desired rapport with the customer group to which the CM system matters the most. I doubt an E3 session would get them much return, given further that they're not looking for a publisher. But that's just my view.
Wesreidau
I'm there on business, my expenses covered by the company and my entry given to me free. Already I have a party for Thursday night organised, only another 4 or so nights to fill. If i can get the address of the Konami babes i will be a happy man mmm PeterNZ

Stacheldraht
Spook, I've been reading this board for a very long time, even if not actively participating I take your points; I'm merely tired of seeing whole genres unfairly maligned, just as someone might knock CM when they don't understand it. For those who think shooters are brainless, try a big game of Tribes 2 with intelligent players. That's like living a wargame: tanks rumbling by, bombers soaring overhead, sensor nets to be set up and maintained, generators to be protected, a huge variety of weapons and strategies. (Shameless plug for a favorite, sorry!) As for E3, it's basically a big press/PR love-in. Take that for what (little) it's worth If you're really interested in games, the GDC is much more worthwhile, from what I hear from participants. Madmatt
Just to wrap up what has already been stated here already: We are not going to attend E3 and I got my share of Booth Babes right here at my other weekend job as a bouncer. If you guys want to discuss E3 some more, and you are welcome to do so, please start a new thread in the General Discussion Forum. Thanks guys and have a great time if you go!
