DJB88
after months of great pleasure with just playing the game, i have finally taken the leap & started installing mods. probably my only gripe with the game is my inability to discern elevations except at the lowest viewing levels. could anyone please recommend the best terrain mod for eliminating this problem? thanks for your input. dan
Juju
I use a slightly modified lo-res version of Wolf's grass. It's kinda dark, not everybody's taste, but it looks good, and the elevation changes are pretty visible. If you like I'll mail it to ya. Let me know. Edit: you could of course opt for the so-called 'gridded grass' mods (shudder) out there. Looks ugly, but you do get to see elevations well. Therre are some available at CMHQ. Maximus
The easiest way to totally mod your terrain is to get Magua's Normandy pack. It changes everything and looks very realistic.
SlowMotion
Try low res grass of Desertfox. I can't remember where you can download that. You could use Valley of Trouble (that demo scenario) before and after installing it to see the difference in elevations.
