NOW HOLD YOUR HORSES AND READ THIS BEFORE CLICKING ON THE LINKS (do I know you kiddies or what? smile.gif)

OK, for those of you who have been checking about the status of 1.1 Public Beta you probably saw the post where I said there we might have found a bug today that might delay the release of the patch. Since then we confirmed the bug, but decided to release the patch tonight anyway.

THE BAD NEWS

The bug renders TCP/IP inoperable for all Windows 2000 based OS setups. The rest of the features found in 1.1 Public Beta are all perfectly fine. You just can't play TCP/IP yet if you have Win2k. Sorry folks, but we will find what is causing the problem. Probaby something simple. Until we fix the problem we still recommend downloading this patch since it gives you all sorts of other fixes.

THE GOOD NEWS

As far as we know (this is a Beta release after all smile.gif) everything works just fine and dandy for all Mac and Windows 95/98/ME users.

LIST OF IMPROVEMENTS

One or 2 turns of Aachen, set at 1 minute timer, just to test it out? I have to go to bed asap, but I have to try this out as well. It's setup and waiting. If no one joins by 1:00 am eastern time, I'm going to bed. 24.88.141.196
