Ned
Do you think that a defending unit that has dug a foxhole should get more ammo? To me it makes a bit of sense. IRL if they know they are going to be defending then they may bring up extra ammo and stash it in their foxhole. Ok if they move, then they obviously can't take it all with them, just a normal load. KiwiJoe
Yeah if your defending infantry should get double ammo load out as long as they dont move. As soon as they move it should change to 40 rounds.
Jarmo
So should the defenders units cost more as well?
Ned
Very good point Jarmo. Yes I think they should cost a bit more. Not sure how that would be implemented though.
USTanker
I agree. Good point. Tanks and vehicles in prepared positions should get more as well.
Splinty
In the game manual it says units in prepared defences can be given extra ammo by the scenario designer and that they lose the extra ammo if they leave their positions.(pg. 60)I guess this only takes place in user scenarios. ------------------ Nicht Schiessen!! Olle Petersson
quote:
Originally posted by Jarmo: So should the defenders units cost more as well?

They do, sort of. You don't get as many points to buy defenders, therefore they're more expensive than attackers. Suppose you chose an all infantry battle at X points. - If you defend you can afford two companies. - If you attack you can afford three companies. (50% extra points for attacking.) - If you assault you can afford four companies. (100% extra points for assaulting.) Cheers Olle
