Hunt order bug or has it changed?

I've only got in three games so far with the beta patch but I have noticed a change in the behavior of the "Hunt" order in two of them several times.

In both games I had 234/3s (German 75mm armed armored cars) issued "Hunt" orders. On at least four different occasions I have watched in horror as they crest a hill, or turn a corner...spot an enemy vehicle (half-track, M20 or M8) and keep on going, never firing a shot. I recall watching on one occasion when one ignored an enemy halftrack and instead stopped to fire at US infantry in the ridgeline (not a bazooka btw). (Sorry, but IMHO that .50 cal armed M20 at 120m was a greater threat than the rifle squad at the same range)

On one occasion I had an enemy M20 (actually two) in line of site and targeted. I went ahead and plotted a hunt order so that if they took off or I finished them off the 234/3 would move out. The 234/3 never fired a shot. Instead it put it in gear and moved forward...into the LOS of an M8, but even then it did not stop, until it was burning.

Is this thing now flagged as an infantry support weapon or something? Is that why it seems to ignore enemy armor?

I think that's the way it's meant to be.

It certainly did not use to work like that. Not unless I'm remembering things. smile.gif Hunt used to work OK with infantry and vehicles as well as tanks.

Has this changed in 1.1?

Actually, I noticed that it stops for anything with better than a machine gun for armament. I was playing a scenario, and had a buttoned tiger hunting, ignoring carriers and halftracks then stopping to shoot at a morar armed HT.

Well, it did not used to work the way it has for me in the last three games (did that make any damn sense at all...)

All, I know is that it seems to have changed and woe to the German commander using 234s facing allied ACs. frown.gif
