ShoHashi
Hello all! I just purchased TacOps 4 today and am definately looking forward to receiving it. I have a question that I hope someone can answer. I noticed that amphibious operations can be done. What kind of amphibious craft are available in TacOps? LCACs? Amphibious support ships? Thanks in advance, and looking forward to multiplaying!
MajorH TacOps Developer
Maps can have water terrain. The unit data base includes many swimming vehicles, a rubber boat, and four sizes of landing craft - small, medium, large, and LCAC. There are no amphibious support ships other than the landing craft.

Redwolf
I'd like to add that TacOps includes very large helicopters which can airlift pretty substancial AFVs. They will probably come in useful for this kind of scenario. [ November 26, 2002, 06:44 PM: Message edited by: redwolf ]
ShoHashi
Thanks, RedWolf! You must be talking about the CH-53 Super Stallions. Boy, I can't wait for my copy to arrive!
Redwolf
The biggest bear in the valley is actually the Mi26. It lifts a BMP3 or a 122mm SP howitzer. Testing indicates you don't want to bring it into .50cal range of enemy ground troops, though...
