Guest Madmatt Posted November 29, 2000 Posted November 29, 2000 Guys, we know you want to play but we would really prefer that you DON'T post a message looking for a IP game. Just use the chat system or Email or ICQ or anything put public posts. Its just a waste of forum space. Thanks! Madmatt [This message has been edited by Madmatt (edited 11-29-2000).]
Guest Lord General MB Posted November 29, 2000 Posted November 29, 2000 Sir, I've had no luck with anything so far, doesn't look like anyone else has either.... Check the TCP/IP realase page... ------------------ Salute! Lord General Mr. Bill Supreme Commander 1st Army
GriffinCheng+ Posted November 29, 2000 Posted November 29, 2000 If you have icq, you can find your ip from status screen. If you don't, try using command "ipconfig /all" on Win95/98/NT I suggest you people who are lucky to test TCP right now to CMHQ Annex or just ICQ/AIM/Yahoo/MSN Messagner. Guest Lord General MB Posted November 29, 2000 Posted November 29, 2000 Soldier, If you have a mac you just go to: Control panels, then TCP/IP. Thats it. ------------------ Salute! Lord General Mr. Bill Supreme Commander 1st Army
GriffinCheng+ Posted November 29, 2000 Posted November 29, 2000 Thanks you my Lord. But since I use ADSL/PPPoE, the IP address is automaticaly shown on the "dailer" software. Guest Madmatt Posted November 29, 2000 Posted November 29, 2000 Thanks Lord General MB for being such a positive ray of sunshine. I am sure its just user error as I see dozens of people in games right now on my Chat server. Okay, wee will be opening a new TCP/IP Network Game Discussion Forum in just a few minutes. Post IP addys for games in there! Madmatt [This message has been edited by Madmatt (edited 11-29-2000).]
Prof Moriarty Posted November 29, 2000 Posted November 29, 2000 I must apologize. Not to mention I feel rather...sheepish. My first post in months and it gets locked. Plus, the game crashed. One thing I did notice, it pays to be the host, additional setup time while waiting for the opponet to connect. Also, for Win95 anyway, just click; start, run ,and type in winipcfg. IP address is labeled. (obviously make sure you're connected first.)
Guest Madmatt Posted November 29, 2000 Posted November 29, 2000 Why are you guys all using Winipcfg to get your IP addresses? Is the game not showing it to you when you host? Madmatt
Prof Moriarty Posted November 29, 2000 Posted November 29, 2000 Uh, whoops. twice now I'm the idiot. Yes, that works too. In my defense I did find my IP before I launched the game, the excitement cancelled my higher brain functions. You should've seen my force selection in the crashed game...defintely the excitement.
