Guest smbutler
I mixed in some small arms and automatic weapons fire into a few of the ambient wave files so that there is always a running battle in the audio background. Among other things, this smoothes over the (sometimes annoying ) seams created by the longer crunch times(for me 15 + seconds is too long). When there is no combat, I just turn off the ambient sounds so that there is no "pop..pop..pop.." etc. in the background. If you try this yourself, be sure to do the following: 1- make copies of the small arms fire files (450, 452, ) 2-lower the volume a couple of notches so that they do not drown out sounds in the foreground. 3-mix them into the wave files (5000, 5002 etc.), which you should back up, of course.
