Juju
Okay, back to the (G)old days. I did some searching and found that, somewhere in may, Jim Crowley and Bullethead asked a question about the "Scout" (1634) and "dig-in" (1624) order BMP's. As far as I could make up out of the search the question was never really answered. The question being: why are these BMP's for orders in the folder when there are obviously no units they can be issued to (no, not even the digging in for tanks during design). Maybe I've missed something, but can anyone clarify? ------------------ Der ver zwei peanuts, valking down der Strasse, and von vas...assaulted! peanut. Ho-ho-ho-ho. RudeLover
I saw those, too. Vestigial organs, a sort of software appendix?
Guest Madmatt
Dig In is used. You must specify the paramater "Defenders Vehciles May Dig In" though in order to activate it. This is found in the Parameters menu. This allows you to have defenders tank and vehicles buried in the ground for the duration of the battle (think Iraqi tanks during Desert Storm). This command can be given in the Setup Phase. The vehicles will not be able to move for the duration of the battel though. Ahhh, the little Scout command. Finally found that did ya?!? When I was first added to the Beta team I asked about it to. Seems to have been a leftover from much earlier code and for some reason, the BMP was never removed. I think that the Sneak command replaced it although I am not sure exactly. Either way, whatever its original purpose, it does NOT do anything now.
