How to: Edit an existing mod / (.bmp) ?

Recommended Posts

hi,

Quite naively, my thought was: In a PhotoShop like, if I open an existing image .bmp from the game >>> just adding a decal from Division Nordland, some paint; then save it again under the same name (i.e 13800.bmp) will just results as a new texture ingame.

but not.

-In a December 1943 scenario; without activated "winterized mods"; I decided to mod a Kubelwagen (103790.bmp)

-The ingame Kubelwagen was a gelb/tri-camo as no mods were in use.

-I located and winterized the image corresponding to the texture and saved the .bmp as it was.

>>>Then, ingame; the Kubelwagen doesn't shown my modifications. In fact, the modified textures was now Grau.

I know there is some prefixes for winter period, ambush...

but still, my question is: LOADING, MODIFYING, THEN SAVING AGAIN; UNDER THE SAME NAME WILL NOT RESULTS IN A SUCCESSFUL MODIFICATION ?

If not why ? Then, if some tutorial are available, please let me know. I was into some Berlin april 1945; Halbe pocket, Division Schill and Kampfgruppe Kather camouflage...

many thanks 🟥
