John Kettler
This drone is whipping along at such a clip you may wish to slow down playback speed. From what I can tell, this is recent imagery. Regards, John Kettler
Sgt.Squarehead
Looks like they might have used a DJI FPV.....The PLA will be fascinated by the footage I'm sure. PS - I've seen more impressive footage from a DJI FPV TBH: You can actually hear the rotors melting!
John Kettler
Sgt. Squarehead, The comments on the video I posted thought the drone was the one you named. As for what you posted, we now have hard proof Mordor is real! Regards, John Kettler
Sgt.Squarehead
The FPV's a cool drone (it'll do 90+mph in free-flight mode), I nearly bought one a few months back: https://www.dji.com/uk/dji-fpv In the end I decided to wait to see if they will implement their original plan for full modularity.....At the moment if you crash it (which you definitely will) and break a rotor arm (which you probably will), it has to go back to DJI to be fixed. However DJI were talking about making the arms 'plug & play' components on a future version of the FPV.....If they do, I'm definitely having it. It's £2000-3000 for a decent DJI FPV setup, so properly busting it would really suck, unless you did something truly spectacular like flying it into an active lava plume and then sold the footage to everyone. PS - Also this: https://www.theverge.com/2021/6/1/22463946/dji-drone-ban-pentagon-department-of-interior & this: https://www.theregister.com/2021/07/26/pentagon_grounds_own_report_that/ Hence my comment about the PLA in my first reply. I suppose when your work-car is a MQ-9 Reaper, being able to play with a FPV at the weekend isn't quite so important. That would be quite the challenging target for the shotgun drone killing advocates--provided the drone wasn't flown in a stupid manner.
