hypeman
I recently stumbled upon the Road to Baghdad mod for SF1, yep we're going way back now, getting me in a mood to see if SF1 still had some magic left in it. Unfortunately when I loaded into the first mission I soon realized why SF2 is the standard, with its butter smooth camera movement and fancy drag n drop move orders and what not. So I'm curious, does anyone out there still play the original Shock Force often? Dare I say, more than its successor? Please drop a comment or feature that I clearly overlooked that makes the original Shock Force worthwhile to you.

Since Shock Force 2 has everything and more than the original there is no reason that I can think of to play CMSF1. As far as I know even all the CMSF1 scenarios play in CMSF2. Some of the mods from the original won't work in CMSF2. @MikeyD had a very cool Africa theater mod pack that doesn't work in SF2. Hopefully these mods will eventually be replaced by new improved mods in CMSF2. Edit to add: Of course CMSF2 has a Southeast Asian mod pack by @37mm and friends: Edited May 1, 2021 by MOS:96B2P

Erwin
Re Africa mod usable in CMSF2. That is a great mod. You have a link? Am also curious about the other CMSF1 mod sets like: Balkan; Twilight 2000; IDF; Mali-Pakistan, Iraq etc. I see quite a few more in my old CMSF1 mod sets folder. Wow, so much new content being created by both Battlefront and the community it's easy to miss something. Cool vehicles too.

I gave you a link... as nobody else has access to most of those other modpacks (since the repository shut down) I wouldn't worry about it.

I never actually play it now.
