OUR CURRENT SITUATION:

The icons are kind of small sorry, click into the website to get the full resolution. So far the fighting has begun in the center of the map. The big swing into Radzy is about to begin... the large amount of forces required overwhelming logistics to get everyone ready for the attack. But finally they are ready ;).

The first five minutes of clashes have wiped out B Company 1436th SU85 Regiment and their Battalion commander.. Only one SU remains, along with just two 85mm 52K Anti Tank guns. The Germans are taking heavy losses from the IS-2's on the south though.

 VICTORY IN C3!

B Company 1436th SU was totally overran in the first few minutes of battle by a full company of panzer IV. We lost five SU85s and two 85mm 52k AT guns from A Company 749th AT in this push. In return the Germans lost one or two panzers. It was really rough to watch.

A Company 749th AT repelled the attack, stalling the panzer company by ramming 85mm shells into the lead tanks. This bogged down their assault. Tanks began to pause and linger.

A and B Company of 14th Heavy Tank began to push over a small crest at this point. Eleven of my IS2 tanks formed a line and quietly rolled forward. The panzers were completely devoted to attacking the North. Their flank was totally exposed, and they began taking massive losses.

As the panzer company began to shatter, a platoon of Tigers and a platoon of Panzerjaeger IV's attempted to push on the flanks of my IS. This failed, as the IS have pretty decent armor. And then they were able to receive multiple hits, many of which were penetrations which did not wound the crew or damage the instruments. In the end, only one IS tank was lost to enemy fire. It was a frontal penetration from a Tiger at around 500m. The tiger was subsequently obliterated. :D

Our defense had crushed the German push. They began retreating everywhere, a couple platoons of fully loaded halftracks were decimated by 122mm HE rounds on their way out. It seems as if I was facing a panzer kampgruppe with a supporting cavalry company. Or infantry company. They were mechanized at least. I saw them retreating, so I don't know the true size of the formation.

At this point we began shelling each other harder. Our forces were shelling the south western swamp the whole game, but now we also began shelling the northern positions with direct fire. The Germans also began shelling our A Company 165th AT company, which took heavy losses in personnel but only lost one Zis-3 gun. We have seven left.

Further, the Germans shelled B Company 1/2 as they advanced along with B Company 14th Heavy Tanks, and took big losses. Ouch. If we didn't get hit hard there our victory would have been much sweeter. Once those rounds began falling nobody wanted to move an inch. We even lost an IS-2 to a direct hit on the engine deck. Ouch!!!!!

Pushing through it, B Company managed to find and disable a platoon of Pak 36(r)'s. That was the cherry on top. We demanded a ceasefire at this point, and it was apparent, we had been victorious!
