Dutch Fennek .50 cal reload

Was just playing a mission where I had only a single Dutch Fennek (MRAT) to mop up some resistance. It had its 12,7 MG text turned gray, though component status was undamaged (green). Not firing anymore, with plenty of targets around. In the vehicle storage were 900 .50cal AP-I rounds remaining. Did I just get impatient with the reload time? or does it not reload? and if so, then why bring those rounds?

Did you dismount the AT team while the gun was being reloaded and leave the vehicle with just the driver?

That vehicle has room for three people, but only two were inside.

I loaded up a saved game. Retreated all other units to prolong the mission. Seemingly delaying the enemy surrender another 12 minutes. But at the end no reload of that .50cal MG was done.

Reported this.  It seems the gunner is in the commander seat and vice versa.  Thus with only two loaded, it can fire, but the gunner is not in the seat tied to reloading the RWS.

If talking about the fennek, is it modelled that the BAA observation equipment, is actually a periscope and can be extended for 1,5 meter? It would make the Fennek far more effective to observe in a proper concealed and protected hull-down position.

This a problem with all vehicles that rely on telescoping devices to see and shoot safely.  Cos CM system doesn't model telescoping, it makes the use of spotting and ATGM vehicles very tricky.

Thanks for your answer! However, if I recall correctly, each vehicle has special modelled viewing and spotting option, depending on the place of crewman and equipment in the vehicles. So it isn't that difficult to have the camera a little bit higher, is it? I don't care about if I see it on the model, just the mechanic would be great.
