Jock Tamson
It occurs to me that this feature could be used to play co-operatively. Or tutoring a new player. Anyone tried it? Gkenny
Wow thanks for spotting this, I just tested this out with a friend ... You can do realtime COOP kind of. Only one person at a time can be moving the mouse/keyboard around and giving orders, but its a lot faster than swapping save files around.
IICptMillerII
Just tried it too. Yup, you can in fact use this to play coop. Its simple to use too. All you have to do is launch the game, open the steam overlay, invite a friend who has CM on steam to remote play, and boom, thats it. They'll join a live stream and they can use their own keyboard and mouse to control everything you can. Its pretty awesome actually. You can easily play campaigns and battles with a friend now. In fact, I have not tested this but I think you might be able to invite multiple friends as well. Lots of potential here. And for me, finally some additional incentive to bring more CM titles to Steam!
Jock Tamson
As far as I am aware, the people you invite to the session don't need to own the game
CJH
No they don't need to own it and it's a good way to introduce people to the game.
bardosy
So it's basically a streaming service? I share my CMSF2 screen with my friend and sometimes I can give him full controll of the game? And then he can give it back? So we can control the same side in a battle?

Great to hear that it is as fun as it looked!

JohnO
Interesting. Has anyone try PvP, other words a Red Player against a Blue Player on the same scenario or is it only work if the players are on the same side?

com-intern
So whats happening here is that you stream a video of a game to a user and when they move their mouse/press a key Steam picks that up and tells your computer to make that input. The person you are playing with will then see their movements reflected in the video stream. Importantly this means that you cannot touch your mouse/keyboard while the other person is taking an action as it will override their inputs.
