What happened with a release a few years ago (I can't recall for certain which release...it may have been Black Sea) was we announced it was up as soon as the upload was complete. This caused very slow download speeds for some people. We found that if a little bit of time is given for the upload to propagate the servers it avoided that. So, after uploading it I wait an hour or so before sending out the download links. A side affect of doing that is if there was some kind of critical failure with the uploaded file we'd have time to catch it before it got into too many hands. We'd be able to either shut down downloads and/or upload a repaired file. Fortunately that has never happened. None of this is anything anyone but us would know if we didn't talk about it...like I am now. It would be better to announce that, so people know what to expect. I don't know what to think anymore, but it's a very strange situation. I suspect the story of this module is one of low priority (think defence project, steam, cold war etc.) combined with a lack of resources. Must be very frustrating for the team working on it. Especially with a superior who keeps announcing it will be released soon while it's not nearly ready... In the meantime I'm preparing a quick battle with the Arnhem City Bridge in which Gräbner decides not to rush his whole recon battalion to Nijmegen, but leaves a reinforced company behind to defend the bridge against Frost's men.
