user1000
I see that a Jagdpanzer IV was taken out by a 60mm mortar team(credited), here are the screens. Round hit flat on top of turret, but this could be 50cal bullet hole since jeeps were shooting at it as well, what do you think?
Blazing 88's
Would Mord's AAS Hi-Vis Forensic Hit Decals help? http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=7040
Warts 'n' all
I think that the Jeep would need a lot of height advantage to hit the roof like that.
Wicky
Sure it wasn't a very lucky mortar round dropping in an open hatch...
umlaut
Incidents like this one are the reason I save every action turn of a game, until the game is completely finished. Then I am (nearly) always able to go back see what actually happened. My guess is the same as Wicky´s: a mortar round through the hatch.
user1000
Yeah i didn't think the mortar with leave a HEAT hole like that. 2 crew got out. The jeeps were high on the hill. It was also hit by a chafee tank. Then the chafee was taken out by a stummel. Maybe a case of mis credited kill? It happened in ww2, especially with the planes. JoMac
In CMFI, I had a U.S. 60mm Mortar hit directly on top of a L3/33 Tankette. Apparently, the round didn't do much damage (crew was probably only stunned) as the next turn it was up and running again...Go Figure.
