CMSF 2 question

It's essentially the same game with the same units and scenarios, but using the newest CM2 engine/features as well as updated graphics and a slightly modified roster (for example, on-map mortars and Quick Battle specialist teams).

In general terms, it will play and feel exactly like other recent CM2 games, but with Shock Force's unique content with the added bonus that all scenarios and campaigns previously made for Shock Force 1 are said to be compatible (albeit perhaps requiring some adjustments to compensate with the new "game balance" and features).

Is this just upgraded version of CMSF1, which bring same units and same maps based on circa 2008 based technology, but only with new game engine?

Or is this something new one, with new units and new maps based on 2018 technology, with new game engine?

This (the bolded part).

I am still amazed, going through the beta testing process, how much gameplay is contained in CMSF.

I will add, scenario/campaign design has come a loooooong way since CMSF. ;)

Originally Steve said CMSF2 was going to 'just' be CMSF1 upgraded to the latest game engine.
Then 'mission creep' set in.
Now all of the art as been swapped out, the TO&E rebuilt from scratch, The scenarios thoroughly updated and beautified, with fresh AI plans put in. There's new on-map mortars, AA missiles, plus AA guns that work. The soldiers have new models and new uniform textures. And let's not forget trenches, fox holes, barbed wire, water, bridges and amphibious capability. Plus something Steve said he wouldn't do - added vehicles! US Army  and Marines, Brit and German now have on-map mortar vehicles. Also those 'speculative' Syrian T-72 types from CMSF1 have been rebuilt into verified Syrian T-72 types. And lets not forget the biggest thing of all - the fully function upgraded Quick Battle system with (last count) 243 new maps!  So saying its 'just' a game engine upgrade isn't doing it justice.

Many video game companies go against their word, and not include features promised. BFC goes against their word and includes features that were not promised, but highly requested by players. T-72 and mortar fans rejoice!

In the description of the game put "There are some new vehicles and equipment", and in the britsh army dlc "Now the British Forces have the L85A2".

I think that is the same game, but with better graphics, phisics and more actually weapons. They are improve the AI andmore optios to Quick Match, but this both things we need to se it first, because the diferent can be minal.
