Tactical Wargamer Posted July 28, 2018 Share Posted July 28, 2018 OK did the CMRT a few months back. Wow, it was a process with an old guy like me. Too use to STEAM doing everything for me. Ok CMBS upgrade. Can't seem for the life of me to find the utility to place my 4.0 license #. Windows 10 all I see is manual activation which doesn't do anything. Any ideas? Weird when I go to activate it just flashes......weird. Oh well, will put in a ticket. Thanks though. 3rd time trying to activate seemed to be the charm......THanks!! Tactical Wargamer Posted July 29, 2018 Author Share Posted July 29, 2018 Some further for anyone else having difficulty.............From Elvis (John) Also, if you are sure that you have installed the 4.0 Upgrade (and I can see the utility is not where it should be) here is how you can manually create one: "A few Windows users are not getting "Activate New Products" shortcuts created during installation. Apparently anti-virus software is preventing the installer from doing its job. This might not be a problem right now, but it will prove to be an issue at some point in the future. The solution is to create your own shortcut using the following steps: Disable your anti-virus software before you do anything. Go to your Desktop, right click on the Desktop itself, select NEW->SHORTCUT, use BROWSE to locate the CM EXE that you are trying to fix. The location is then written out. After it type in a single space and then paste this: -showui Click NEXT and give your new Shortcut a name (doesn't matter what). Confirm that and you're done.
