Hehe! Neither can I smile.gif Oh well, that thing needs an overhaul soon anyways. 3/4 of the stuff in there talks about features that "will be" but are in fact "already"!

Yes, TCP/IP head to head 2 player mode. Internet and hopefully LAN. PBEM is also an option, as well as hotseat.

Have you guys put any more thought into supporting a gaming site? Or maybe I should say allowing a site to support CM?

I know we went over it all before but.... having the ability to pick up a game without preplanning and the sheer joy of being part of the Combat Mission community on the web would be really really cool. It's also like having free advertising (kind of) people see us all happy and having fun, they want to be part of it too smile.gif Give them the chance BTS. Confucious say when site ready, gamers will come.

When CM is released we are sure there will be other sites out there. Right now all they could do is parrot what we say, so why bother smile.gif

We are limited in what we can and can not do. For example, MPlayer (at the moment) requires that we have a huge marketing budget and expect to sell about 100k units. Since we don't have that kind of money, and don't exepct to sell that many units, many of these options are OUT.

We are looking at supporting Kali since they don't require large sales or lots of our money spent. However, we won't know for sure until we get into doing the multiplayer code.

Taken from Computer Games online;

NovaLogic says that their online gaming service, NovaWorld, tallied over 4 million game joins since mid-December 1998. The company is citing the success of Delta Force as the driving force behind the increase in game activity on the service.

"NovaWorld games, like Delta Force, deliver a competitive experience that cannot be generated in a single-player environment," said John Garcia, president of NovaLogic. "The core component of the popularity of our games is based on the unique sensation of simultaneously fighting amidst 30 other real people on the same large-scale battlefield."
