Combat Mission: Battle of the Bulge?

Recommended Posts

You can always tune in for ChrisND's Twitch-broadcasts on (some) Sundays. Sometimes he shares some news, and even show games in the making before it turns up on the official homepage. He gave glimpses of Black Sea there first. Huowever, as stated above maybe they hesitate to do that with Bulge. There is a thread somewhere, can't remember now which, that shows of some of the vehicle models. Looks really good.

I know you're checking your list, BFC.

And maybe I'm not on it. Oh well, such is life. Deep down inside we all have it in us to be naughty. Some of us are simply more naughty than others.

But there are others out there who are on the Nice List. Do it for them.

In all seriousness BFC never gives release dates.  They tell us approximately what order they are doing things in and give us status updates as things get closer.  It is much easier to deal with people clamouring for a release date than it is to either miss the date or ship it before it is ready and deal with the complaints about bugs.

I would have thought bulge would be out by now i remember seeing a thread somewhere with Chris saying the official announce would be very soon, but that was like 2-3 months ago lol

haha and 1.03 of BS was supposed to be in final release candidate and out within a week for 6 weeks. If they release it too earlier everyone will character assasinate them like they did on ALPHA screenies (lookin at u wiggum) and feankly I wouldnt blame em for not releasing ANYTHING until its done the way childish wailing was exhibited over alpha screenies and wild conjecturing about how bfc was scamming us was being tossed around over those three screen shots.

Unlike Men of War, I think the feature would actually be useful in CM, given that line of sight is more important and properly simulated weapon ballistics makes marksmanship more interesting. I'm also not sure it would be that difficult to implement. The people at Graviteam managed to build some high-fidelity first-person armour simulators (Steel Armor: Blaze of War, and Steel Fury: Kharkhov 1942) using the same engine as their tactical-level strategy game (Graviteam tactics). I know this is not at the top of (or even on!) the priority list for CM. That's fair enough because there are other things the community would value more. But I don't think the guys at Digitalmindsoft should be ridiculed for trying to innovate.
