Boomkow
Any news that can be shared?
Baneman
Anyone who might be able to give us news has probably run screaming from your avatar !
simon21
When there is news. You'll get news. It's Blizzard. 'When it's ready.'
Baneman
Joking aside, Boomkow, there was this thread earlier : http://community.battlefront.com/topic/119001-more-bulge-info-and-a-few-screenshots/ If you read all of it, you will see how it rapidly went downhill and that is generally the reason why we don't have more public info regarding development.
Boomkow
The wait will continue. The avatar is of Chris Farley. He was quite the wacky dude! Edited August 12, 2015 by Boomkow
Bulletpoint
Well, I think that thread was also full of people who appreciated being shown a bit of the progress being made. As well as sharing ideas and suggestions, some in a friendly and constructive manner...
Dynaman216
I would like to see more about the Bulge module. Perhaps locking any such thread to anyone but admins would be helpful?
rocketman
You can always tune in for ChrisND's Twitch-broadcasts on (some) Sundays. Sometimes he shares some news, and even show games in the making before it turns up on the official homepage. He gave glimpses of Black Sea there first. Huowever, as stated above maybe they hesitate to do that with Bulge. There is a thread somewhere, can't remember now which, that shows of some of the vehicle models. Looks really good.
lordhedgwich
I would have thought bulge would be out by now i remember seeing a thread somewhere with Chris saying the official announce would be very soon, but that was like 2-3 months ago lol
J Bennett
I'm sure the pre-release is only a few months
MikeyD
Chris posted some kittie picts back around July 3, in case you missed it. http://community.battlefront.com/topic/120091-operation-tumbleweed/
LUCASWILLEN05
Ready in time for a December 16 release? Maybe that date would be hugely appropriate
BLSTK
I know you're checking your list, BFC. And maybe I'm not on it. Oh well, such is life. Deep down inside we all have it in us to be naughty. Some of us are simply more naughty than others. But there are others out there who are on the Nice List. Do it for them. GSX
Is there a planned release date for this title?
IanL
Oh, can I say it? can I? Please. "When it is ready."
IanL
In all seriousness BFC never gives release dates. They tell us approximately what order they are doing things in and give us status updates as things get closer. It is much easier to deal with people clamouring for a release date than it is to either miss the date or ship it before it is ready and deal with the complaints about bugs.
Sublime
I would have thought bulge would be out by now i remember seeing a thread somewhere with Chris saying the official announce would be very soon, but that was like 2-3 months ago lol haha and 1.03 of BS was supposed to be in final release candidate and out within a week for 6 weeks. If they release it too earlier everyone will character assasinate them like they did on ALPHA screenies (lookin at u wiggum) and feankly I wouldnt blame em for not releasing ANYTHING until its done the way childish wailing was exhibited over alpha screenies and wild conjecturing about how bfc was scamming us was being tossed around over those three screen shots.
Baneman
haha and 1.03 of BS was supposed to be in final release candidate and out within a week for 6 weeks. ... Yep, that's IT software development for ya - it only takes one hard-to-find bug and your whole schedule falls off a cliff.
Sequoia
Join me in my Bulge logical fallacy hopes: Bulge is taking longer than expected, therefore major new engine feature!

simon21
That's 'men of war' man ... that game exists.
Ubiquitous
Unlike Men of War, I think the feature would actually be useful in CM, given that line of sight is more important and properly simulated weapon ballistics makes marksmanship more interesting. I'm also not sure it would be that difficult to implement. The people at Graviteam managed to build some high-fidelity first-person armour simulators (Steel Armor: Blaze of War, and Steel Fury: Kharkhov 1942) using the same engine as their tactical-level strategy game (Graviteam tactics). I know this is not at the top of (or even on!) the priority list for CM. That's fair enough because there are other things the community would value more. But I don't think the guys at Digitalmindsoft should be ridiculed for trying to innovate. Edited August 29, 2015 by Ubiquitous
borg
Just to be clear - I didn't mean to ridicule eh. I actually own the series from MoW to MoW AS2 and in fact appreciate a lot that feature.
ChrisND
Work on Bulge continues, but there isn't a big update to post yet. When we've got one, we'll post it. There are a couple of links in this thread that contain the latest posts on the title.
