kb9sog
Would like to learn how to take a screen shot in the beta demo. I've tried the print screen button on the keyboard. I've looked in the readme and gave a quick search to the discussion archives. Sorry if this is a lame question but I really would like to take a screen shot of my German platoon of veteran soldiers from my CE PBEM. Would like to submit it to the Hero Section. P.S. What directory do screen shots get saved in by default? ------------------ ***** 73 de kb9sog Support Amateur Radio BJ Simpson

MERC
It machine dependent. There is a program out there called HYPERSNAP that some people with PC's have had to use. If you use the SEARCH command, you more than you ever wanted to know on how to do screen shots.
Lindan
Start Paint Shop Pro. (www.jasc.de) activate screen capture switch back to Combat Mission press pre-defined hotkey to import actual screen into PSP. Thats how I do it. Should be the same with Photoshop and others. Guest kevi
Try alt-print scrn to capture the image to the Windows clipboard. Then paste it into the Windows Paint program as a bmp file. This works on my PC. - Kevin
Goanna
Or, if you use a Mac, use the Command-Shift-3 combination to take a picture (it will be called Picture 1), and it will be on the base volume of drive that has your system folder on it. Cha ching, Macs win again with no added software or fuss! Sorry, don't mean to start a flame war. ------------------ desert rat wannabe
Guest kevi
No flame .. can be done in MS Windows. may be hardware dependent .. but every PC with windows I have used has the feature. - Kevin

Eridani
on Win95 and Win98 boxes all you need to do to take a screenshot is press the printscreen button (above the arrow keys)... this copies to current screen to the clipboard then just go into any old photo editor, make a new file, then click paste and the screenshot will be pasted into the new photo. -EridanMan
Zulu
I use a great little program called Snagit. You can look at it at http://www.techsmith.com/products/snagit/ What I like about Snagit is that you can save and print whatever portion of the screen area you want. They have d/l demo so you can try it out.
